About the role

Actual Talent is currently expanding its international footprint to become a key partner in
Engineering talent acquisition and development across Europe
.

We support recruitment projects across multiple
Engineering domains
, including Manufacturing, Industry, Energy, Pharma & Biotech, and Supply Chain & Logistics.

We are now looking for a
Business Development Manager – HR Consulting (Engineering)
to lead the growth of our
Engineering practice in Barcelona
.

This role combines
business development, client leadership, and team management
, within a high-growth HR consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

As
Business Development Manager
, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the Engineering practice, building long-term client partnerships, and leading a team of consultants toward high performance and impact.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing a strong portfolio of clients within the
    Engineering sector
    .
  • Driving business development initiatives and expanding key accounts across Spain and Europe.
  • Overseeing and supporting recruitment projects for
    technical, managerial, and executive roles
    within engineering environments.
  • Recruiting, developing, and mentoring a team of consultants to ensure excellence in delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Fostering a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and high-performance team culture.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum
    7 years of experience within the Engineering industry
    .
  • Previous exposure to
    business development, sales, or recruitment consultancy
    is a strong plus.

Education

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering or a related technical field (strongly preferred).

Languages

  • Fluency in
    Spanish and English
    required.
  • A third European language is a plus.

Key competences

  • Strong commercial mindset with a consultative approach.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
  • Natural leadership skills and passion for developing people and teams.
