Sense Aeronautics is looking for an 
AI Engineer
 to join our dynamic and highly motivated team in 
Vigo
, with the option of hybrid on-site/remote work. We value 
software craftsmanship
, clean code, and a collaborative engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop AI models for 
    real-world aerial image and video analysis
    , focusing on high-impact, product-oriented outcomes.
  • Translate 
    customer needs
     into clear AI and system requirements.
  • Contribute to applied research efforts; a PhD-level profile is ideal
  • Work across the 
    full AI pipeline
    : data collection, training, evaluation, deployment, reporting, and MLOps integration.
  • Collaborate with the team to design, build, and maintain 
    video processing pipelines and tools
    .
  • Perform 
    code reviews
    , support teammates, and help shape a clean, maintainable codebase.
  • Improve and optimize video-related components, including 
    encoding, management, streaming
    , etc.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Solid experience in 
    AI/ML for image or video analysis,

ideally at PhD level.
- Strong 
software engineering principles
 and commitment to clean, maintainable code.
- Experience with the full AI lifecycle (data → models → deployment).
- Valuable experience with:

Video encoding, processing, and streaming of video in cloud and onboard deployments

Large-scale data handling

Real-time or near-real-time video systems

Drones and camera hardware

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving engineering team.
  • Interest in applied research and building AI that addresses 
    real customer needs
    .
  • Ideally with experience in research for AI, computer vision, or related fields.
