En remoto, España Veeva Systems A tiempo completo

Team: Data Operations

Country: Spain

Remote Work Available: Yes

Veeva Systems is a mission-driven organization and pioneer in industry cloud, helping life sciences companies bring therapies to patients faster. As one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in history, we surpassed $2B in revenue in our last fiscal year with extensive growth potential ahead.

At the heart of Veeva are our values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Success, Employee Success, and Speed. We're not just any public company – we made history in 2021 by becoming a public benefit corporation (PBC), legally bound to balancing the interests of customers, employees, society, and investors.

As a Work Anywhere company, we support your flexibility to work from home or in the office, so you can thrive in your ideal environment.

Join us in transforming the life sciences industry, committed to making a positive impact on its customers, employees, and communities.

The Role

Veeva OpenData is global reference data of healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. It contains addresses, emails, specialties, demographics, compliance data (license information and industry identifiers) and affiliations. It is available in 100+ countries today and growing.

Your mission as our Data Operations Lead is to be the operational backbone of our curation efforts. You will guide and lead a remote team of data curators, ensuring we unlock the full potential of OpenData while adhering to strict compliance and quality standards. This is not just about maintenance; it's about strategy. You will design the production processes of tomorrow, driving the technological improvements that elevate our efficiency and data quality.

Your mindset to thrive in this role is a unique blend of analytical rigor and emotional intelligence. You are a "can-do" leader who loves to solve problems and communicate solutions. Whether you are speaking with a curator, an analyst, or senior leadership, you know how to align teams and drive results. You take full ownership of your team's performance, viewing their success as your own.

You are someone who thrives in fast-paced, multi-cultural, and remote-first environments. If you are passionate about data and operations, eager to grow your data and leadership skills, and ready to make a tangible impact in the Life Sciences industry, this is your platform to build something remarkable.

What You'll Do

  • Implement Automation Strategy: You will identify opportunities to implement state-of-the-art technology that make the team faster and smarter. And then you will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to deploy them
  • Achieve Data Excellence: You will establish and own the gold standard for our data. You will design robust processes for tracking, assessing, and validating data quality at scale
  • Monitor & Optimize: You are the owner of the team's output. You will track KPIs, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement efficiency projects that tangibly improve performance
  • Servant Leader: Lead, mentor, and inspire a dynamic team of Data Curators, fostering a culture of proactivity and high performance
  • Risk Guardian: Proactively identify data risks and operational incidents, ensuring they are escalated unambiguously and resolved quickly

Requirements

  • Data-First Mindset: 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment (Tech, Startup, Consulting) with a proven track record of handling complex data sets or data operations
  • Process Mastery: You have strong experience in business process design and optimization. You know how to structure unstructured data workflows
  • Global Communicator: Excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, international environment
  • Proven Leadership: Previous experience mentoring junior team members, leading projects, or managing teams (3+ years preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Domain Relevance: A background in Life Sciences (via education or professional experience)

Perks & Benefits

  • Opportunity to work in a diverse and international workspace
  • Life insurance
  • 1% charitable giving program

Work Where It's Best for You

Work Anywhere means you can work in an office or at home on any given day. It's about getting the work done in the way and place that works best for each person. This applies across all locations and departments.

Work Anywhere does not mean work at any time. We have predictable core hours where employees are generally available for meetings and collaboration. Employees are focused and available during core hours.

We invest in our offices to make them places where our employees like to go. If you work in the office three or more days a week, you will have a dedicated office workspace. Our offices function as hubs to draw people in, create social bonds, and where random connections and mixing of ideas happen. We're investing more in offices, culture, and offsite meetings, not less.

Product teams are organized in regional product hubs for optimal collaboration and live within a time zone of their hub. Our current product hubs are located in Pleasanton, Columbus, Boston, Kansas City, New York City, Raleigh, and Toronto. We create opportunities for teams to get together in person regularly.

Customer-facing roles, such as Sales and Professional Services, live near and/or travel to their customers.

When an employee moves within a country it does not cause a change in salary. Where you live impacts you and your family. Not knowing if your compensation will change if you move can cause stress and uncertainty for everyone. We wanted to eliminate that.

Work at Veeva. Work where it's best for you.
