Position Overview

The
Head of IT
is responsible for leading the company's technological strategy, overseeing IT operations, and ensuring the successful delivery of digital transformation and business technology projects. This role combines strategic leadership, project management excellence, and hands-on supervision of technological initiatives that support the organization's growth, efficiency, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and control all activities related to the development, acquisition, and maintenance of IT systems in alignment with corporate strategy and priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional technology projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and high-quality execution.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and software licensing regulations. Serve as the main liaison with external provider when required.
  • Oversee the performance and reliability of internal and external IT systems (financial, or business intelligence systems), ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.
  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation and implement process automation, data analytics, and business intelligence solutions that enhance efficiency.
  • Manage IT suppliers and technology partners to ensure compliance with contracts, delivery standards, and institutional policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management, project management, or digital transformation roles preferably within the financial sector.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary technology projects, preferably in corporate or financial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, project lifecycle management, and change management processes.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure management, data governance, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience coordinating with external providers.
  • Full proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Location: Madrid.
  • Start date: Q1 2026.
