This role is part of a highly specialized Solution Validation Services (SVS) team, focused on validating next-generation technologies for enterprise and service provider customers.

About the role

We are looking for a Consulting Engineer 3 to join a customer-facing, highly technical team focused on designing, validating, and testing complex network solutions in advanced lab environments. In this role, you'll work closely with clients, solution architects, and engineering teams to validate cutting-edge Cisco Data Center technologies and accelerate customer adoption.

• Plan and execute solution validation projects with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Implement and integrate new platforms and technologies in lab environments.

• Validate complex, customer-specific network solutions and develop detailed test plans.

• Analyze results, document findings, and present outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to identify issues and ensure successful solution delivery.

• Support innovation by contributing to next-generation solution designs and validation labs.

Requierements

• Strong customer-facing experience in technical environments.

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platforms (strong focus on Nexus 9000).

• Deep understanding of L2 switching, L3 routing, and routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP).

• Experience troubleshooting complex network environments.

• Solid knowledge of network and server virtualization.

• Working knowledge of YANG models, APIs, configuration management, and operational models.

• Advanced English (written and verbal) for US client meetings and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Scripting or automation skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform).

• Understanding of data models and formats (YAML, JSON, XML) and APIs. Experience designing Data Center solutions (ACI, EVPN VXLAN, traditional DC architectures).

• Exposure to Cisco Nexus platforms (n2k–n9k), especially n9k in NX-OS and/or ACI. Knowledge of SDN, appliance/service integrations, F5, VMware, RedHat OCP, UCS. CCNA or CCNP-level knowledge or certification.

• Experience with industry test tools such as Spirent or Ixia.
