Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), a cutting-edge research centre based in Barcelona, is looking for a

Funding Officer

This full-time development opportunity is within IBEC's Projects Office in Barcelona.

The role reports to the Funding Coordinator and focuses on project administrative management, monitoring, economic reporting and advising on non-scientific aspects of research project applications to ensure compliance with funder requirements.

Responsibilities
Provide post-award support and project administrative management.

Identify and disseminate funding opportunities from national and international organisations.

Assist researchers and project managers with research-project applications and implementation, providing administrative support and reviewing documentation for compliance.

Handle economic justification of fellowships (FPI, FPU, FI, Juan de la Cierva, Ramon y Cajal, etc.) and R&D projects (EU H****, Horizon Europe, national – MICIU / AEI, ISCIII, regional – AGAUR, ACCIÓ – and private foundations – La Caixa, AECC, FBBVA, etc.).

Keep project information updated in the project database and manage financial aspects of projects using SAP.

Perform registration and archiving of internal and official documents.

Qualifications – Essential
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar post-award management position.

Degree in Legal, Financial or Administrative studies.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Full command of Spanish and Catalan; intermediate level of English.

Competences

Excellent communication, teamwork, proactivity, attention to detail, planning and organisational skills.

Preferred Experience
Experience with SAP.

Knowledge of public and private research-funding systems (European and Spanish) and of the public research Catalan system.

Offer

Number of available positions: 1

Starting date: September ****

Working conditions: 37.5 hrs / week, full-time, open-ended contract linked to projects.

Measures for work-family balance: maternity/paternity leave, flexible schedule, teleworking (2 days), 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters.
