Currently, we are seeking an experienced Tableau Server Administrator to join our Data Visualization Competence Center. This role requires managing the day-to-day operations of our Tableau Server environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering the server, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance to support our growing user base. You will work closely with our IT Service Owner (ITSO) in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Tableau Server environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades
• Monitor server health, performance, and user activity to ensure high availability and stability
• Troubleshoot server issues and resolve incidents efficiently
• Automate repetitive tasks and server maintenance using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
• Develop and maintain comprehensive server documentation, including configuration settings and maintenance procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline
• Exceptional communication skills to interact with both technical teams and business stakeholders
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Tableau Server Administrator or similar role
• Knowledge of Tableau Server architecture and components
• Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
• Hands-on experience with a Windows server environment
• Familiarity with SQL and database management (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewall, and load balancing
• Experience with Tableau Server performance tuning and optimization
• Work with agile development methodology, adhering to best practices
