Service Description

Seeking an expert UNIX System Administrator capable of operating and managing
Linux, AIX, and Solaris
environments within an international setting. As a senior sysadmin, the candidate must proactively troubleshoot issues, complete planned activities independently, collaborate with global teams in English, and adhere to established guidelines and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve OS and hardware issues on both physical and virtual servers.
  • Perform scheduled activities including system updates, upgrades, and virtual server provisioning.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Propose process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Document procedures, best practices, and technical knowledge.
  • Act as an escalation point and provide technical guidance for junior team members.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years
    of experience as a Linux (Red Hat, CentOS) System Administrator.
  • 5+ years
    of experience as an AIX System Administrator.
  • 2+ years
    of experience as a Solaris System Administrator.
  • 1+ year
    of experience with virtualization tools (VMWare, Hyper‑V).
  • 2+ years
    of experience in ITIL-based environments and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Remedy, FreshService, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SAN concepts and management.
  • Strong understanding of DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • English level B2+/C1
    (fluent in written and spoken).
  • Fluency in French is a plus.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years
    of experience with RHEL Satellite v6.
  • 2+ years
    working on IBM platforms.
  • Scripting experience.
  • Ansible automation skills.
  • Experience with High Availability platforms.
  • 1+ year
    of experience managing external technical stakeholders or clients.
  • Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, LPIC) are an advantage.
