Content Coordinator

Overview

The Content Coordinator and Copywriter supports the Communications Department of the Zulma Reyo School of Consciousness (ZRSOC) and Inner Alchemy by Zulma Reyo, developing written content that communicates the School's mission and the Teachings with clarity, consistency, and professionalism.

The role combines editorial coordination with creative copywriting. The Content Coordinator and Copywriter will work under the supervision of the Communications & Outreach Manager and in close collaboration with the Digital Communications Coordinator to ensure that all written materials are accurate, aligned, and coherent across platforms.

This position requires strong writing and editorial skills in both English and Spanish, the ability to manage multiple content projects simultaneously, and a proactive, organised approach to work. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading content initiatives, producing materials across different channels, and ensuring consistent quality in tone, messaging, and delivery.

Core Responsibilities

1. Content Development & Editorial Writing

• Write and edit content for digital platforms, newsletters, articles, and institutional publications.

• Develop scripts and text for videos, podcasts, and interviews.

• Adapt and refine existing materials from talks, transcripts, and books into concise and engaging formats.

• Support the Communications & Outreach Manager in preparing institutional documents, public statements, and campaign copy.

2. Social Media & Campaign Support

• Produce clear, engaging copy for posts, reels, and short-form videos across social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn).

• Ensure language and tone are tailored to each platform and audience while maintaining consistency with brand values and communication guidelines.

• Collaborate with the design and multimedia teams to ensure message accuracy and coherence.

3. Editorial Coordination & Brand Alignment

• Lead and coordinate content projects from planning to publication, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

• Ensure all written content reflects the tone, clarity, and professionalism of ZRSOC and Inner Alchemy communications.

• Edit and proofread materials from faculty, students, or partners for grammar, style, and consistency.

• Maintain and apply editorial guidelines and approved terminology to ensure coherence across languages and formats.

4. Collaboration & Workflow

• Work closely with the Communications & Outreach Manager and Digital Communications Coordinator to align copy with visual and strategic direction.

• Participate in regular planning and review meetings to support the content calendar and campaign development.

• Liaise with translators and editors to ensure the quality and consistency of bilingual content (English/Spanish).

• Contribute to improving workflow processes and communication systems within the department.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in copywriting, editorial communications, or content coordination.

• Proven ability to write for multiple audiences and formats (web, social media, print, institutional).

• Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish. Proficiency in Portuguese is an advantage.

• Experience leading projects and coordinating content production across teams and timelines.

• Strong organisational skills, self-management, and ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with SEO principles, digital storytelling, and online content best practices.

• Experience in the education or non-profit sectors is an advantage.
