We're a stealth-mode fintech building the infrastructure that powers investment distribution for banks. With financing already secured from leading Spanish venture capital firms, we're now assembling an exceptional team to build a category-defining company.

Role Overview

We're looking for a VP of Engineering to lead all aspects of our product development and technology execution. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, execution, and scaling teams. You'll work closely with the founding team to build, refine, and scale the platform that will transform how banks distribute alternative investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale the engineering team, establishing world-class development standards, processes, and documentation.
  • Write and review code regularly, ensuring technical excellence, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee the architecture, scalability, and performance of our core platform built on microservices.
  • Design and implement API-first integrations with banking systems and third-party providers.
  • Collaborate with product and integrations teams to deliver secure, seamless end-to-end experiences for financial institutions.
  • Mentor engineers, foster a culture of high performance, and ensure technical alignment across teams.
  • Partner with the founding team on key strategic technology decisions and infrastructure evolution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • Experience in fintech or banking technology environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in Java or Kotlin, Spring Framework, Angular 9+, MongoDB, Docker, and microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding of API integrations, system interoperability, and secure data flows.
  • Experience implementing or collaborating on cybersecurity best practices is a plus.
  • Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and bias for execution in high-growth environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
