Introduction To The Vacant Position
The Molecular Imaging for Precision Medicine group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher or senior research assistant to work on hyperpolarization-enhanced magnetic resonance methods and metabolomic studies by NMR.

The contract will be within the framework of the EU FET Open project "Benchtop NMR spectrometer for lab-on-a-chip" (), whose objective is the development of non-invasive assays based on hyperpolarized magnetic resonance (MR) to study real-time metabolism on tissue engineered organ-on-a-chip systems.

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:

Prepare samples, acquire and process data for metabolomic studies

Perform and optimise PHIP and DNP experiments

Perform NMR and MRI experiments

Co-supervise students

Participate in lab meetings

Represent the lab at national and international meetings

Write and publish journal articles

Essential
Requirements for candidates:

PhD in physics, chemistry, biomedical engineering or similar areas

Previous experience in NMR at any level

Competencies and skills: Excellent communication and teamworking skills, proactivity, commitment, critical and analytical thinking

High level of English

Advantageous
International experience

Experience in MRI will be a plus

Experience in chemical synthesis and catalysis

Experience in scientific writing (papers)

Working conditions: Full time contract for 3 years.
