Sener Aerospace and Defence is currently looking for Configuration Manager to join our Configuration and Documentacion team at our Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) work center.

We are a pioneering engineering company in the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In defence, we design and produce equipment and systems, including unmanned systems. What you will do:

Project configuration management, supporting the implementation the 3DExperience PLM (Dassault), throughout the design and development phases of the project, and the connection with the production line.

Verifies receipt of initial documentation and assists with compiling and coordinating release packages.

Coordinates document and parts identification number requests and assigns identification numbers.

Reviews change requests for completeness.

Prepare and coordinates status accounting reports and configuration review boards.

Coordinates implementation plan or change/impact analysis actions with stakeholders and collects/documents status or concerns.

He/she will act as the communications link between Design Engineering and all other disciplines of the project, to ensure the integrity of the product definition documentation, controlled as necessary and available when needed as per the stablished criteria for dissemination.

  • Support all CM functions for a project, product, set of products, or a customer, as assigned depending on size and complexity.
  • Interface with Design Engineering, Production Systems, Supply Chain, Quality and Maintenance to develop and support the product configuration.
  • Control the master documents after initial release.
  • Monitor all change requests, coordination of CCBs, facilitate proper routing, and assure the list of requests is maintained and regularly addressed.
  • Generate configuration documentation as required, in particular this related to configuration traceability (CIDLs, Configuration Status Accounting Reports).
  • Assigning and control of company part numbers, document numbers, change

request and document revision levels.

  • Assist in maintaining the master EBOM and MBOM in cooperation with design and production engineering.
  • Assist in the development, improvement and implementation of CM standards and processes.
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineering, procurement, and engineering specialists to create, review, and publish master data lists for the supply chain

What we expect from you:

Engineering Degree.

Complementary education: Use of tools for project lifecycle management – PLM (Enovia, Teamcenter Windchill, 3DExperience…)

High level of English.

Minimum experience with similar scope of duties 4 years.

CM aerospace, industrial or consumer products company whose product is subject to industry standards (ISO9000/AS9100 or similar).

Experience with CM processes, including product and documentation release, bill of materials, change request and design change.

Experience with documentation systems such as Windchill, Ennovia, TeamCenter, 3DExperience.

Experience with MRP/ERP.

Experience with SW Tool implementation, updates, and integration

Exposure to and limited understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environments.

Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleagues.

Excellent team-working.
