Business Development Manager - EV Charging – Madrid - Up to €60k + Comms

The Role

A rapidly growing company in the electric vehicle charging and energy sector is seeking a hungry Business Development Manager to support its expansion across Spain.

This role focuses on AC EV charging solutions for domestic and home applications and experienced BDMs will take ownership of accounts and market growth. You will work closely with the Sales Team to grow the installer network in Spain. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about customers and wants to be part of disrupting the energy and mobility sectors with technology.

Key Responsibilities

(Responsibilities will vary depending on experience)

  • Identify and close opportunities with key players in the EV ecosystem (installers, car dealerships, etc.).
  • Proactively generate new leads through outbound sales activities, including cold calling and personalized outreach.
  • Qualify and convert inbound B2B and B2C leads, ensuring timely, professional follow-up and excellent customer experience.
  • Manage a pipeline of B2B prospects and convert leads into commercial partnerships.
  • Own the full sales cycle from outreach and proposal to negotiation and contract signature.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities

About You

  • Experience in sales, business development, or a commercial role (EV, electrical or energy sectors preferred)
  • Strong interest in electric vehicles, renewable energy, and smart home technologies
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
  • Proactive to cold call and generate new leads
  • Happy to travel frequently throughout the week
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Madrid or Barcelona Based
