LONGi is the first Chinese solar manufacturer to join the three distinguished climate initiatives RE100, EP100 and EV100.Role OverviewThe General Manager (Utility& BESS) – Spain & Portugal is a senior business leader responsible for the strategic, commercial, and operational leadership of LONGi Solar's photovoltaic utility-scale and BESS business in designated regional market (Spain &Portugal). This role will drive sustainable revenue growth, strengthen LONGi's market position, and ensure operational excellence across one of Europe's most important solar markets.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Market LeadershipLead and contribute to the overall success of LONGi Solar's photovoltaic Utility & BESS Sales business in the region.Own and deliver revenue, margin, and market share targets for the regional Utility & BESS.Continuously evaluate and improve commercial performance, operational efficiency, and financial results across the market.Strategy & ExecutionDefine and execute regional Utility & BESS strategy in alignment with LONGi Solar's European and global objectives.Translate global strategy into actionable local business plans tailored to the region's unique regulatory, commercial, and competitive landscape.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at European and global levels, including product management, supply chain, finance, legal and marketing.Organizational LeadershipLead by example and build a high-performing, results-driven Utility & BESS sales team in the region.Empower team members to achieve individual development goals while fostering a collaborative, values-driven culture.Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to support long-term growth in the regional market.Customer & Stakeholder EngagementDevelop and maintain senior-level relationships with key regional customers, including utilities, IPPs, developers, EPCs, and investors.Support customers through complex decision-making processes, enabling win-win outcomes and long-term partnerships.Build and maintain strong relationships with industry associations, regulatory bodies, and other relevant institutions across the region.Market Intelligence & RepresentationMaintain a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, including regulation, permitting, grid access, pricing, and auction mechanisms.Monitor policy developments, competitor activity, and technology trends to inform strategic decisions.Represent LONGi Solar at regional and European industry events, trade associations, and public forums.Regional & Global AlignmentServe as the primary communication liaison between the regional business unit and LONGi Solar's European and global headquarters.Ensure timely and transparent reporting on business performance, potential risks and emerging opportunities in the region.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.Minimum 12 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation, or infrastructure, with a strong focus on Utility & BESS.Proven leadership experience managing senior sales and commercial teams in the regional market.Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue and profitability targets in the regional energy market.Experience working in multinational, matrixed organizations is strongly preferred.Deep understanding of the Spanish utility-scale solar and BESS ecosystem, including developers, EPCs, utilities, financing structures, and regulatory frameworks.Strong commercial and contractual expertise, including PPA structures, framework agreements, and risk management.Inspirational, values-driven leader with strong people development skills.Native or fluent proficiency in Spanish, plus fluent English, is mandatory.Willingness to undertake frequent domestic and international travel as required by business needs.>
