Junior Accounts Payable Specialist

detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accounts Payable
to join our Finance team at Factorial

This role goes beyond processing invoices - you'll learn how every transaction impacts our financial statements and cash flow. You'll take ownership of core AP tasks like reconciling bank transactions, creating purchase orders, and reviewing balance sheet accounts, while developing the analytical mindset to identify discrepancies, understand their causes, and drive solutions.

About The Role

• Support the Accounts Payable team with daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations, analyzing differences and ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded.
• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs), tracking related expenses and ensuring alignment with budgets.
• Register bills from the OCR system and verify their accuracy before posting to the accounting system.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring completeness and correctness of financial data.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, identifying root causes and suggesting process improvements.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and provide insights related to accounts payable performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial regulations.
• Collaborate with other finance and business teams to enhance process efficiency and data quality.

You're a great fit if you:

• Are fluent in English and have a conversational level of Spanish
• Are currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial statements.
• Are confident working with Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new accounting systems (experience with OCR tools is a plus).
• Have strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Can analyze transactions and understand how they affect the company's cash flow, profit, and balance sheet.
