About This Role
As the Payments Quality Manager, you will drive the operational excellence of our global payments' delivery function across multiple regions, currencies and partners. Ensure that every single payment reaches its destination in the expected time and without issues. You will be responsible for improving payment success rates and improving the general payment delivery KPIs across our Network of more than 1000 partners.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the different teams in the organization in designing our quality framework, including helping steer decisions on what to measure and which tools to use
• Monitor performance of payments globally: transaction volumes, success/fail rates, SLA compliance, partner metrics
• Produce dashboards, insights and report to leadership.
• Lead investigation of payment execution failures, delays or rejections; perform root-cause analysis, propose and drive remediation plans.
• Design and lead process improvement initiatives: automation of manual steps, standardisation of operational procedures globally.
• Create mitigation plans for issues identified in our payments delivery.
• Escalate significant operational risks or issues to senior leadership, propose mitigation and track resolution.
• Mentor and develop the payments quality and monitoring team (regional leads or specialists) to deliver high performance.

KEY METRICS & KPIS

• Payment success/settlement rate (global average and per-rail)
• Time to settlement or delivery, per-corridor/rail
• % of exceptions or failures requiring manual intervention
• Time to root-cause and fix for major incidents
• SLA compliance across regions/partners
• Number of technical incidents reported per partner

Position Requirements

• ~5-7 years in payments operations, payment delivery, global transaction flows, ideally with cross-border/multi-currency exposure.
• Proven track record of driving operational improvement, automation, process redesign in a payments environment.
• Strong analytical data skills: ability to define, monitor and act on KPIs, use dashboards, produce insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills: ability to work with technology, product, business, vendor/partners across geographies.
• Leadership experience: managing teams, mentoring, cross-regional coordination.
• Excellent communication and change-management skills.
• Fluent in English; Spanish likely preferred given your Madrid base; other languages a plus for global remit.

DESIRABLE

• Deep understanding of international payments flows, settlement systems, partner rails (ACH, Instant Payment Rails, RTGS, etc) and corresponding operational models.
• Experience in fintech / multi-region payments environment
• Experience with operating models for global payments, multi-currency, and multiple rails
• Knowledge of cost/efficiency levers in payment operations
