PayIn team has one mission : Create a resilient and flexible payin system for customers and sellers

As PayIn Engineering Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team of 8 talented engineers (backend, frontend, and mobile) to build the future of customer payment experiences.

We're not just iterating; we're innovating, drawing on the latest in payment technology like internal wallets, open banking, and AI to deliver performant and cost-efficient solutions.

Positioned at the heart of the company, you will play a critical role in enabling strategic initiatives such as subscriptions and next-generation wallet infrastructure, driving both customer satisfaction and business growth

What you'll be doing :

• Leading a collaborative team (8 persons) in delivering great software that our customers and sellers will love

• Collaborating with the product group and other tribes to align the team with company objectives and initiatives across engineering and the wider business

• Ensuring the development of people and teams through ongoing coaching and mentoring

• Creating a team environment where team members feel like they belong and are supported to do their best work

• Establishing open communication and a culture of feedback between team members

• Working in an agile "build it and run it" environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor and support the sections they own

• Working with the team to identify and make improvements in our processes, practices and product

• Supporting teams in increasing delivery proficiency by creating a learning environment

You are in the right place if you have :

• Experience and passion for growing, developing, and guiding people

• Openness to receiving and giving feedback in a safe workplace

• Interest in working in an environment where leaders support their teams to do great work, by removing impediments, finding improvements, and facilitating effective decision-making

• Enthusiasm about reaching new levels of effectiveness (and quality)

• A background as an individual contributor and willingness to help when the team needs it

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

• Excitement to learn about how our industry works and the impact we bring to our customers and the world

• Experience working in agile development teams with some knowledge of our following tech stack : AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, RestFul API, Python, Django, VueJs, Nuxt, Datadog,

• Experience in clean architecture, micro-services, DDD, API's , monitoring tools

Recruitment process:

• Call with Marie, our Expert Tech TA (45 min)

• Management Principles Interview with your manager and one fellow EM (60mn)

• Technical interview with 2 members of the tech team (90mn)

• Stakeholders interview with 2 of your main stakeholders (60mn)

• Back Market values interview with 2 members of the Exec level (45mn)

Note: Hybrid policy -3 days / week at Barcelona office (Monday is mandatory)
