PYP Art Teacher – Medical Leave Cover

SEK International School Santa Isabel is seeking to immediately appoint a PYP Art Teacher to cover a medical leave within the Infant and Primary School.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and international learning environment, contributing to the holistic development of students through high-quality art education aligned with the IB philosophy and SEK values.

Mission:

To promote students' holistic learning through carefully planned, delivered, and assessed teaching and learning experiences, ensuring that every student has opportunities to develop academically, physically, and socio-emotionally. The role involves implementing differentiated strategies to meet diverse learning needs and fostering an international mindset consistent with IB principles and SEK values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging Art learning experiences linked to transdisciplinary and disciplinary units of inquiry.

  • Collaborate proactively in Art department meetings and with the wider teaching team.

  • Participate in school events and community activities.

  • Deliver extracurricular Art activities.

  • Work closely with Infant and Primary coordinators, teaching staff, the Arts department, and families to support student development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education.

  • Higher Education in Arts or a specialisation in Art Education will be considered an asset.

  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.

  • Bilingual Spanish and English (required).

  • Proficiency in the use of educational platforms and digital tools.
