- Possess an EU passport, or a current visa to live/work in Spain – and is available from January 2026
- is travelling alone, i.e. the salary for this post in Madrid these days does not support a family or any unemployed dependants
- is a qualified teacher (i.e. possesses a PGCE or something like a 'Teach First' cert + QTS)
- has at least two years of experience teaching IGCSE business (for 2026, no A level teaching experience is required)
- is willing and able to teach Yr 7 maths (support will be offered by our Head of Maths as required)
- is willing and able to teach Yr 7 geography (support will be offered by our Head of Geography as required)
- is available to be flown over to Madrid to interview and teach a lesson sometime between now and mid-December (we'll cover the costs)
Specific to the post:
- it has a decreased teaching load of 25 lessons out of 40 per week
- commands a salary between 32-40K euros per year depending upon qualifications and experience
- assistance will be provided to find rented accommodation in Madrid
