Experience:
2+ years of professional experience WHAT'S THE PROJECT? The project is that you bring your talent and your ambition to a family-owned German e-commerce leader operating in the home, garden, workshop, and household space. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Dresden, our client has built a highly automated, fast-growing business model, shipping over 500,000 packages and maintaining an average 25% annual growth rate. Now, the company is executing its international expansion strategy across Europe. Instead of just setting up a local sales office, it is replicating its entire operational ecosystem from scratch in Spain, complete with a 2,000–3,000 m² warehouse, local customer service, e-commerce, and logistics infrastructure. AND WHAT'S MY ROLE IN THIS? As Country Business Developer, you will serve as the operational and commercial cornerstone for our client's Spanish market launch, taking ownership across multiple functional areas as you help build and scale the business locally. Drive market development and sales growth through online channels, marketplaces, and local product placement Coordinate local commercial activities, promotions, and product portfolio strategies adapted to the Spanish market Work closely with German headquarters to adapt operational, inventory, and e-commerce workflows Act as the primary local touchpoint for customer support and operational coordination during the market setup Oversee warehouse and logistics setup processes in the Barcelona area alongside central operations Collaborate across departments (sourcing, marketing, logistics, customer service) to ensure smooth end-to-end execution Prepare to take on broader leadership responsibilities as the Spanish business, warehouse, and team grow OK, AND WHAT DO YOU NEED? Spanish fluent level along with strong German language skills (C1 minimum) 3+ years of professional experience across e-commerce, retail, operations, customer service, hospitality, or dynamic small-team/start-up environments Strong commercial awareness with a practical, hands‑on mindset rather than a pure cold-calling approach Willingness to spend the onboarding at headquarters in Dresden, Germany Valid driver’s licence (electric company car provided for local mobility) Educational background in business, commercial studies, vocational training (FP/Ausbildung), or equivalent practical experience Previous experience as a Team Lead or an existing local network in Spain is a plus THAT'S IT? You’re the kind of person who thrives in an entrepreneurial setting where no two days look the same and you’re comfortable wearing multiple hats. You bring a mature, proactive approach to problem-solving, take genuine ownership of your work, and enjoy working closely with international colleagues. Approachable and eager to learn, you’re looking for a launchpad where you can start hands‑on and naturally grow into a broader operational or country leadership role.
