About the Role
The CSA Site Engineer will be responsible for coordinating all Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) aspects of projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, environmental compliance, design management, and cost control are maintained throughout project delivery. Reporting directly to the CSA Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Designers, Planners, EHS Advisors, Subcontractors, and Clients to support the successful delivery of mission-critical projects.
About the Role
The CSA Site Engineer will be responsible for coordinating all CSA aspects of their project with a particular emphasis on maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, quality, environmental impact, design and cost control. The CSA Site Engineer will report directly to the CSA Engineering Manager. The CSA Site Engineer will work closely with the full project team including the Project Managers, Project QS, Designers, Planners, EHS Advisors and the wider CSA team to support the delivery of projects to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
To conduct themselves in a professional manner.
Attendance of project handover, project kick off meeting and all weekly progress & Design meetings.
Ensuring effective communication with the Project team, Subcontractors, and the Client.
Ensuring the SharePoint/ACC CSA Subcontractor folder structure is not modified outside of its standard template structure unless the Quality Manager approves it.
Ensuring a detailed site diary of the works are recorded in your own site diary and assisting the site manager with completing and issuing H&MV's digital site diary before the end of each week in My Hub.
Ensuring all site photos are uploaded to the projects Photo folder and up on Teams platform and are taken with the Solocator app.
Work with Project Manager and Site Manager to manage the CSA contractor(s) throughout project.
Assisting the CSA Sub-Contractor with any issues they have on the project.
Weekly reporting on H&MV/Subcontractor meeting of RFI status and KPIs on Tech sub approval and QA documentation from quality tracker.
Report Weekly and Monthly on progress and raise any issues with the CSA contractor and project team.
Ensure Lessons Learnt from project are recorded both in weekly meetings and in Bi-monthly presentation.
Personal minuting of all meetings attended in your site diary.
Attendance and added value to be brought to all project meetings with updates given on the design, quality, programme, and commercial sections.
Propose Value engineering solutions where better solutions can be implemented.
Assisting the Site Manager with completing and issuing the H&MV QAP 06 QWI 06-F-08 Weekly Progress Report on the substation and gridline works and uploading to the project management folder in the projects SharePoint/ACC folder at the end of each week.
Mentoring CSA Graduates / Apprentices.
Act as a liaison between internal teams, contractors, and clients, facilitating clear communication and addressing project-related queries or issues.
SafetyEnsure CSA contractor complies with H&MV 5 Point PPE.
Ensure Overhead service protections comply with the local safety regulations (COP) and Regularly Checks completed and signed-off.
Ensure Safe Access/Egress around site (Pedestrian routes and suitable underfoot conditions) is maintained.
Checking that the RAMS methodology is correct prior to works starting onsite in conjunction with the project H&S advisor and ensure General safe systems of work in place.
Log a minimum of one safety Observation per week via H&MV's SSD system.
Ensuring the CSA Designers DRA has been shared with the CSA Sub-Contractors, so they are aware of all design related project risks.
Identify hazards associated with work activities and ensure that appropriate controls are in place before work commences. Report all non-compliance to the project team.
Ensure the Temporary Works Co-Ordinator and Register are in place and up to date and that all internal H&MV TW documentation is completed.
