**Job Description**:
As a Lead Artist at Ubisoft Barcelona, you will guide the team responsible for several gameplay features on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and continue their mission to develop exciting, challenging and forward-thinking features and next-gen visuals for an upcoming AAA title.

**What you´ll do**
- Understand consumer needs and ensure that the elements developed by the team will contribute to player satisfaction and enjoyment being also up to current industry quality standards.
- Assess the workload vs production capacity, plan the work, and set priorities for the art team.
- Allocate duties and follow the evolution of the team’s progress on art deliverables.
- Able to support and follow-up on prototyping with game designers and other disciplines involved.
- Communicate the project objectives, strategies, and general information to all art team members.
- Actively participate and act as a regular liaison in the decision-making process with management and oversee the necessary adjustments to ensure that the art team meets the lead studio expectations.
- Attend playtests and be solution-oriented to the problems encountered.
- Carry out performance follow ups and assessments.
- Participate in the selection of new team members.
- Manage any conflicts that arise within the team.
- Create a work environment that is motivating for team members and which fosters development and creation.
- Support career advancement and suggest development and interpersonal skills training and techniques sessions to team members.

**Qualifications**:
**What you´ll bring**
- 2-4 years of experience in a Senior/Lead Artist role in the videogames industry, preferably on AAA PC/console title.
- Experience supervising an art team to deliver a significant gameplay content.
- Ability to work in a team, bringing good leadership skills and delegate work accordingly.
- Excellent artistic skills, with good knowledge of current industry standards, tools, pipelines and tecnhiques.
- Exceptional mentorship, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness, and plenty of flexibility.
- Basic understanding of planning and monitoring tools (Jira, Excel).
- Ability to manage your own time and work within deadlines.
- Strong ability to collaborate with multiple international teams, both internal and external.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and great verbal and written communication skills in English.
- A solid understanding of the market and a passion for video games.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with team members of different departments.
