We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our Operations department. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing the company's financial activities, ensuring financial stability, and collaborating with various teams within the organization.

**Objective**:
Facilitate a successful knowledge transfer from the current Director of Finance & Legal
- Strengthen financial reporting and analysis
- Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and legal agreements

**Areas of Responsibility**:

- Oversee and manage all financial affairs, including accounting, invoicing, budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.
- Approve and monitor financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage banking relationships, cash management, and other treasury-related activities.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations & Partner to develop and maintain financial strategies.
- Lead on financial and legal matters in contract negotiations with clients and contractors.
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and targets, identifying areas for improvement.
- Streamline financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
- Provide advice on the intersection of project delivery and finance.
- Respond to team inquiries related to financial and legal topics.
- Manage stock options.
- Participate in the development of financial policies and procedures.

**Skills**:

- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.

**Knowledge**:

- In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with auditing, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of treasury and cash management functions.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.

**Experience**:

- 4 years of experience in finance
- Some experience and knowledge of legal and contracts (this person will work with our legal agreements with both contractors and clients)

**Terms & conditions**:

- Allocation: 0.5-0.75 FTE + potential to extend to 1 FTE
