- Plastics: With new technology trends, our plastic additives can be experienced in many everyday items including vinyl, blow-molding bottles, film, rigid containers, PVC plastics, siding, decks and rails, foam pipes and profile formulations, window frames and high-efficiency lubricants.
- Industrial intermediates: As the product of a reaction that is beneficial when used as a precursor chemical for another product, industrial intermediates can take on many shapes and forms. Ours are used in home comfort and appliance, building and construction, adhesives and lubricants, and more.
- Coatings: Whether it’s a water-based coating or solvent-based coating, a thin film is deposited on materials to enhance specific properties such as enhanced performance, durability, aesthetics, and sustainability.
Packaging and Specialty Plastics (PS&P) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior TS&D Leader for Customer & Technology Excellence group. The role is located in Tarragona, Spain.
This individual will provide supervision and leadership to a group of high value creation team of TS&D employees, developing and executing a strong innovation growth and profit in alignment with long term business strategy. This group encompasses critical foundational roles such as Asset Focal Points (AFP), Learning Specialist and target areas of focus link to business priorities to assure unique Cx and Ex value creation. Moreover, the Senior TS&D Leader will also be responsible to drive strategic initiatives across the department related to the shared vision pillar of operational excellence and that will advance the organization in the transformation journey to deliver enhanced customer experience, superior product and performance quality, sustainability, growth learning culture and digitalization.

**About you**
- Provide supervision and leadership to EMEA Customer & Technology Campus group located in Tarragona. This group includes Asset Focal Points (AFP), Learning Specialist and TS&D employees with target areas of focus aligned to business priorities
- Accountable for performance management, team building, reward and recognition, employee and leadership development and engagement.
- Supports the development of short
- and long-term people resource based on innovation strategy for the organization. Executes recruiting strategies and succession plans for critical roles within the organization.
- Ensure proper allocation of resources to support value center priorities with AFP work on product launches, reactor qualifications, special release programs and improvement initiatives
- Drive continuous CX improvement with focus on Quality Complaint Management and Product Quality. Promote cross-functional collaboration to drive alignment and leverage best practices
- Own Learning and onboarding program to ensure new hires can fulfill on their roles and create value for Dow asap
- Assign technical resources to support direct customers and distributors across market segments and product lines
- Implement digital tools and disruptive methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce bureaucracy
- Knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize department performance in order to identify, champion, and charter projects in support of strategic objectives.
- Champion the development of strong IP portfolio and documentation within the department
- Be a visible advocate for safety, inclusion and diversity
- Responsible for attracting and retaining diverse talent and developing an inclusive, high performance team
**Required qualifications**
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Research and Development Environment
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in people management
- Result driven leader that understands differences of opinions and resolves issues to achieve results.
- Solid track record of delivering innovative technologies with proven technical leadership
- Passion for customers and strong business acumen.
- Ability to make good judgments and quick decisions based on developing knowledge of finance, accounting, marketing, and operations.
- Excellent influencing skills necessary to drive alignment of goals, resources, accountabilities to meet business objectives.
