***JOB DESCRIPTION**

As a General Accountant, you will be part of the “Finance” team that is in charge of:
**TASKS**:
- Preparing payments related to the expense notes, payroll & VAT.
- Manage the extraction, validation and analysis of tax returns such as VAT, witholding taxes, and other tax returns, checking the accuracy of the returns to be in conformity with the tax administration.
- Manage Payroll postings and follow-up linked analysis.
- Conduct thorough reconciliation of intercompany transactions, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages. Monthly reconcile the BS accounts of all Cies.
- Support day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
- Collaborate with the accounting manager in Financial Statements preparation, Corporate Income Tax calculation and ad hoc activities.
- Manage the timely and accurate filing of tax-related documents (VAT declarations, INE and Banco España surveys )
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and information to auditors
- Additional tasks linked to accounting: Back up during holidays period to enlarge your scope of responsibilities.

**MUST HAVE skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics.
- 3 years progressive finance experience.
- Experience in financial audit is a plus (Big4 preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of SAP and/or S/4HANA.
- You have a very good knowledge of Excel & Google sheets.
- Fluent English and Spanish.
- Ability to work proactively, strong team-working skills with ability to work independently.
- Ability to adapt him/herself to work in a fast-paced environment.

**NICE TO HAVE skills**:
- Experience in financial audit is a plus (Big4 preferred).
- Knowledge of French is a strong plus.

We are a diverse and international team led by our CFO and the members of the Finance Executive (Directors of Treasury, Payments & Fraud, Tax, Business Procedures and Accounting).
- The General Accountant we are looking for will be part of the Accounting Team, reporting to General Accounting Manager SPAIN as part of an international team of 10 members.
- Our goal as an Accounting team is to contribute to the mission of Veepee and be a key player on the quality of data and reporting and the timely delivery of it to support our Top Management on the Strategic Plan 3Y Plan.
