To support our mission, we offer the position of **ANODE R&D MANAGER**. REPORTS TO: R&D Director MISSION Be the technical and team lead for the development of anode materials for Basquevolt battery technology. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: 1. Material Development: - Lead the research and development of anode active materials from material design to electrochemical cell integration and validation. - Lead the anode development roadmap for fast charging, long cycle life, and high energy density battery technology developed by Basquevolt. - Establish the anode chemistry roadmap in line with the company’s objectives and KPIs. - Lead the investigation of novel anode materials. - Develop new anode concepts based on alloys, protected lithium anodes, artificial SEI layers with high performance for Basquevolt battery technology. 2. Material Qualification: - Manage Li metal and anode supplier relationships, perform material sample evaluation reviews, supplier visits, and anode product qualifications. - Identify the best Li anode material available on the market. - Identify the key Li metal anode supplier for Basquevolt. - Contribute to the improvement of lithium metal anode and the demonstration of semi-solid-state batteries. 3. Team Management: - Lead key anode development projects within the R&D department to support business goals. - Support R&D Director to hire and develop R&D personnel. - Suggest training tools to enhance employee performance and skill development. - Use standard project management techniques to drive assigned projects to completion on schedule and budget. HOW TO APPLY: - PhD or MSc in Electrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Materials Science. - 5+ years in lithium battery research, innovation, and manufacturing industry, or related battery systems. - 5+ years of experience as a lithium anode expert for battery energy storage systems. - Proven experience in a relevant lithium battery R&D role. - Hands-on experience in managing or leading an R&D team of engineers, scientists, and technicians. - Experience in a fast-paced startup environment. SOFT SKILLS: - Leadership: Drive Basquevolt battery technology development from R&D scale to mass production. - Problem-solving abilities: Ability to face unexpected situations during an ongoing project. - Strategic thinking: Develop clear plans of action for Basquevolt. - Effective communication: Understand ongoing tasks and work as a team to produce positive results. - Collaboration:Align with Basquevolt company goals and objectives.
