R&d Cell Test Engineer

**Your role**

R&D Cell Test Engineer is responsible for overseeing and conducting battery testing and measurements using specialized equipment to ensure the performance, safety, and reliability of battery cells. This role involves managing test procedures, data analysis, equipment maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes.

**Main functions**
- Ensure that test data are stored in the appropriate folders (5S for SharePoint and Database) for easy access and retrieval.
- Update the testing status and planning tools, including forecasts and upcoming test schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, including automation of testing and data evaluation.
- Identify opportunities and generate innovative ideas to strengthen intellectual properties related to battery testing.
- Assist technicians during periods of high workload to maintain testing efficiency.
- Prepare cells received from the dry room, including OCR, IR, weight, thickness measurements.
- Place cells inside jigs and ensure proper pressure is applied.
- Start and monitor tests, checking regularly for ongoing progress and ensuring adherence to testing protocols.
- Maintain testing equipment to a high standard to ensure accurate and reliable results as well as documentation.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols in all research and development activities.

**Requirements**:

- Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in battery cell testing, including performance, safety, and reliability testing.
- Strong background in Electrochemistry and Li-ion battery testing.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation using common laboratory software (MATLAB, PYTHON, JMP, etc.).
- Experience in scripting for Neware, Arbin, and Biologic cell cycler platforms.
- Understanding of the cell manufacturing process and the crucial tests needed for quality verification.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish and other European languages is advantageous.
