About the team you are joining
Based in IATA's office in Madrid and under the guidance of the Manager, Settlement Operations, the incumbent will work closely with a highly diversified and inclusive team. The incumbent will provide support in different areas while acquiring experience and understanding IATA's practices and processes.
What your day would be like
Learn about IATA's Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) and Cargo Accounts Settlement System (CASS);
Assist the team to prepare and execute bank orders for collection and settlement of BSP and CASS funds in alignment with IATA's financial policies;
Perform matching activities, monitor bank statement and follow up on discrepancies as required; prepare and take action on exception reports;
Support the team in preparation of internal and external reports;
Review and update Settlement Operations user guides, including country specific requirements, as instructed by the Manager Settlement Operations.
We would love to hear from you if you have
Recently obtained a university/post-graduate degree (less than 12 months) in Finance, Banking, Accounting or a related field;
Previous experience in treasury and/or finance would be an advantage;
Strong PC skills, particularly in MS office Excel and Access;
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly demanding multicultural environment;
Good communication skills and a proactive approach;
Attention to detail, organized and are customer oriented;
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken), knowledge of another language would be an advantage.
