General accounting including:

- Bank account entry and reconciliation
- Issuing invoices for machines, spare parts, rental and servicing charges.
- Tracking of machine costs.
- Tracking and invoicing machine maintenance contracts
- Accounts payable - invoice posting, checking, payment of invoices, account reconciliation
- Accounts receivable - debt management, posting of invoices and receipts, account reconciliation
- Bank and cash account entries and reconciliation
- Calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments
- Provision on month end information to UK Group finance
- Customs entries and processing
- VAT calculation, reconciliation, processing and payment according to local requirements
- Creation of Intrastat forms and provision of other government data
- Provision of salary information to payroll company and payment
- Payment and reconciliation of payroll and other business taxes
- Fixed asset ledger maintenance
- Stock control, calculation, posting stock entries and reconciliation
- Assisting auditors with end of year accounts work
- General finance duties as required
- Liaise with tax advisors, insurers, financial authorities, lawyers, bank etc.

We are looking for an experienced accountant who enjoys working in a small team and can demonstrate a 'hands on' approach to work. They must be computer literate, able to use accounting software and be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. They need to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and be fluent in written and spoken English.
