**Key roles and responsibilities**:
- Develop and drive world class supplier sourcing strategy, under strong consideration of customer needs, that defines strategic suppliers into grow, fix and exit suppliers and maintains product footprint to ensure competitive advantages
- Achieve critical annual procurement KPIs (Delivery, quality, dual sourcing, LTA %, productivity, inventory, low-cost localization, payment terms, VMI, lead-time reduction and others
- Manage all aspects of the supplier relationship for our preferred suppliers
- Lead independently negotiations with suppliers and internal customers on the strategy and best total cost of ownership
- Drive cost reduction opportunity with engineering team, lead VA/VE projects
- Engage with NPI teams for new project awareness and proactively work to close technology gaps in strategy
- Develop suppliers per business requirement with cross functions Ensure compliance to TE policies, procedures and quality standards**What your background should look like**:
- Min. 5 years procurement experience in the automotive industry
- Proven successful purchasing and negotiation experience with suppliers
- Experience in cable, cable assembly & connector industry is preferred
- Ability to create competitive strategies and plans, broad knowledge of strategies and tactics of the marketplace, knows trends
- 2 - 3 years of experience in full life-cycle procurement - category/commodity management, managing sourcing projects, strategic sourcing, fact-based negotiations, cost analysis, price breakdowns, and supplier and contract management
- Knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership methodology TCO & Should Costing
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, change management skills
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
- Ability to manage both supplier and internal stakeholder relationships
- Good knowledge of MS Office and SAP-MM
- Strong communication and intercultural skills, willingness to travel and ability to understand and work with other countries and cultures
- Fluent negotiation skills in English
