Global Lead Buyer Raw Materials

**The location of the role is in: Oviedo, Spain**

**About the job**

As a Global Lead Buyer for Raw Materials, you will be working in the Global Procurement department and will report directly to the Head of Procurement for Raw materials. You will oversee multiple raw materials and ensure their delivery to our overall plant networks in Europe, North America and Brazil all the while supporting and integrating India and China into your decision making. You will be involved in the procurement of highly strategic raw materials and thrive towards optimization of operation through continuous market scans or internal opportunities for quick implementation. In this position you will be travelling up to 25 % of your worktime to meet with our suppliers.

**In addition, your tasks will include**
- Supply RHIM’s plants with the most attractive raw materials, mainly in terms of price, quality and availability
- Strategy making and execution right from the negotiation stage to the making of the contracts and purchase order management
- Portfolio optimization with our main stakeholders from the Research & Development department
- Regional alignment & project coordination with stakeholders from Supply Chain Management and Regional Procurement
- Choosing of efficient logistics solutions in collaboration with the transporting department
- Price trend/market insight and reporting with stakeholders from FP&A and Strategic Pricing

**About You**

You have the ability to voice, persuade and compromise when needed whilst engaging in functional and day-to-day activities with peers from the different regions and stakeholders from other areas such as SCM, R&D and Finance. You are a team player with the ability to work independently, and you know how to pull through challenging environments by embracing agility and pragmatic approaches. You have an eye for detail, reliable personality, and the ability to handle several priorities at once. Lastly, you are adaptable and can thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

**What we expect from you in terms of**

**Education**
- A master’s degree in business administration, finance, risk management or similar
- Basic knowledge of the refractory industry

**Languages**
- English - Proficient/Fluent
- Any other language is considered as an asset

**Work experience & skills**
- Several years of relevant working experience in procurement
- Experience with SAP ARIBA
- High proficiency using MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint
- Experience with MS Power BI will be considered a plus
- Ability to understand technical concepts
