**Job Description Summary**:
The job position is part of EPG (European Packaging Group) which is acting as satellite of FLKS Design Center. The job position is located in San Agustin/Madrid/Spain under the umbrella of TIC (Technological innovation center).
The job holder is responsible to support packaging projects in the area of CTW (Change to Win) with a 70% focus and SE (Sustaining Engineering) with a 30% focus. The support is focused, but not exclusively in packaging change projects in EU and AP region. The following businesses are in scope for packaging R&D support, CCMD (incl. Hypo, Flush and Anesthesia) & HDS (PhaSeal & PhaSeal Optima).

The R&D support goes along with create/assess project ideas, conduct feasibility work in cooperation with the affected plant/business. Assessment of results from feasibility, through change control process kick off. R&D assessment of change requirements is part of the job, as well as qualification through design testing, establishing proper design documentation and finally create the DHF report for project release.

- Science/Engineering/Technology
- Desired but not mandatory, Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial packaging for medical, pharma or food industry.
- Desired but not mandatory, Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in leading cross functional teams (matrix org, project lead)
- Experienced in leading/working in cross-functional (Quality, marketing, sales, clinical, regulatory, operations etc.) environment toward effective collaboration and coordination
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scopes at once
- Willingness to travel

Main responsibilities:

- Provide R&D support for packaging cost optimization projects by leading design control activities following design control process to achieve the budgeted savings per established timeline.
- Provide R&D support for packaging sustaining engineering projects by leading design control activities following design control process to be in compliance with Regulatory/Quality and/or Supply chain requirements.
Take over the project leadership role for packaging change projects, driven by R&D as project leader, for example if projects over span multiple plants or Regions.
