- Profile Marketing Manager- Contract Permanent Contract Full time- Location RemoteFloriculture is a €100bn industry worldwide that has existed for centuries. Despite its big size it is a hyper-fragmented industry both at the supply and demand side. On the first one,, with a small set of growers serving local and global markets and the demand-side happening mostly in mom-and-pop flower stores around the EU.
This level of fragmentation and the perishable nature of floriculture has created several
underlying problems in its supply chain, leading to economic inefficiency, environmental
impact and non-transparent product origins and poor customer experiences have given low product quality and freshness.
Meanwhile, the industry is digitizing very quickly and demand is expected to be 25% online by 2028, fostering the need for a new supply chain. Once Colvin founders discovered this, they decided that the digitalization trend in the industry and advancements in technology offered the opportunity to build a better future for the €100bn floriculture industry.
Colvin was born digitizing and connecting growers, focusing on regional growers and
seasonal products, enabling flowers to go directly from the field to consumers' hands, treating growers more fairly, building a more sustainable and direct supply chain and offering a fresher product to customers. Now present in Spain, where it started, Italy, France and Portugal, Colvin is ambitioning to be the leading player in these regions and continue expanding further in the quickly digitizing floral market.
Because what’s not to love about flowers? Well, it’s non-transparent and not
sustainable chain that we come to change. We know this industry is more ready for change than ever, and we want to meet customers' expectations by offering them a way to connect and care for their loved ones through flowers. Flowers that come directly from the fields instead of a 15-20 days long-supply chain of intermediaries and fridges, flowers that are seasonal and not that come from abroad and cultivated with extra-resources not following flower nature, flowers that are fresh, colourful and long-lasting and not that last 3 days.
**Challenge**:
We are looking for a strong marketing professional that can help spread Colvin’s
mission across customers in Europe, increasing our brand awareness, growing the
retention of our customer base and building a strong and sustainable growth engine.
As the Head of Marketing / CMO it will be your role to own and build upon the growth
strategy. Ensuring the right foundation is in place and overseeing the execution with an
internal team and external partners.
**Requirements**:
- Be a key part of the decision-making body of Colvin
- Lead a team of +10 people in Global brand, Global paid acquisition and Global retention and experience teams to excellence
- Be the owner of topline, acquisition, retention and marketing budgets globally
- Lead the marketing strategy definition and the allocation of marketing budgets for all our 4 markets - Spain, France, Italy and Portugal
- Work closely with the performance team to improve scalability of digital performance channels
- Work on our Brand key touchpoints and its universe to assure we deliver the value proposition across channel and markets
- Lead the rethink on our customer journey to deliver the best-in-class customer experience and increase user retention
- Lead the pricing, product & cross-selling strategy based on user insights in order to build a memorable portfolio
- Aim for team passion and excellence working closely with product/tech and operations to unlock growth initiatives
