**Global Head of Predictive AI & Data**

**Accountabilities**:
As our Global Head of Predictive AI & Data, you will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategic plans across specialist areas. You will lead our new team of highly skilled bioinformaticians, data engineers, and AI scientists, contributing to the global cross-functional strategy and driving innovative solutions that deliver outstanding business value. You will also have site responsibility for driving a fantastic culture and great place to work in our newest site in Barcelona.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- PhD or masters or equivalent experience in a relevant field of bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, data or AI
- Proven experience in crafting, developing and implementing AI strategic plans
- Strong understanding of business strategy and its alignment with data and AI solutions
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive operational excellence
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Awareness of technology trends and approaches for clinical pharmacology and safety sciences
- Critical thinking and the ability to anticipate and adapt to changing business needs
- Experience in sophisticated global organisations and pharmaceutical industry is extremely desirable
- Demonstrated experiences or a keen curiosity about learning data science techniques, such as machine learning, for biological problems
- Proven track record of publishing relevant results and tools in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and other scientific proceedings.
