We’re looking for a Business Development Director to join our growing team.

At TransUnion we’re happy to talk flexible working, both in terms of location and hours. We operate a hybrid model allowing you to explore the balance of work from home or from our office in Madrid, Spain

**Day to Day You’ll Be**:
The Business Development Director will head the strategic market development and execute new business initiatives that will drive growth in our fraud prevention vertical and further position TransUnion as the preferred partner across the full lifecycle:
Identifying and pursuing areas for growth by creating and executing on a 3-year plan that is refreshed yearly to ensure market expansion.

Develop thorough understanding of the fraud market, value chain analysis, competitive landscape a POV on the future trends and evolving needs of the market.

Critical accelerator and enabler of Fraud revenue, particularly adoption of new innovative solutions and shifting market share from competitor solutions and/or identifying whitespace opportunities.

Support management in the identification of potential investment and inorganic growth opportunities that are aligned to 3-year growth plans.

Champion the investment cases for new solutions and capabilities.

Collaborate with product, analytics, sales, operations, technology, compliance, legal, marketing and finance to build go to market plans for relevant investments and new solutions.

Support sales in the strategic business development engagements with executives identifying strategic priorities and critical business issues.

Collaborate with team in gathering and sharing insights gained from client and sales interactions on unmet client needs as potential input for high-potential product development/expansion opportunities; plays a key role in capturing voice-of-customer and ideating on market opportunities and direction of future product investment.

Understands, defines and influences how TU products and solutions address critical client issues and contributes as needed in account management.

Support the sales team’s understanding of TU’s solutions, their applicability to opportunities and the value to customers in order to improve early-stage client discussions and opportunity identification.

Develops and presents senior level technical product demonstrations; supports RFI/RFP responses and leads efforts around POCs that drive business expansion.

Thought leader that participates and speaks at Conferences and customer facing seminar presentations.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field with 10+ years of management / leadership experience in product acquisition and management (P&L ownership preferred), product strategy, digital channels, marketing analytics and business development. Management consultant experience and MBA preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of the fraud and authentication market including key trends, competitors, customer’s critical business issues and implications to TU’s key markets. Ability to discuss fraud trends at a strategic level that compels and challenges senior leaders.

Strong ability to effectively develop relationships, engage, advise and persuasively communicate the with value propositions & P&L impact of our solutions. Ability to lead client executive discovery sessions to develop POV and articulate with business cases new opportunities for growth.

Project management with the ability to effectively coordinate internal resources to maximize business conversion. Experience working in a matrixed organization with strong ability to collaborate across functions.

Strong analytical, insight driven and problem-solving skills. Strong business acumen, exceptional presentation skills and ability to speak in large forums.

Ability to travel at least 25% of time to cover client and business growth needs.

Demonstrated executive presence and able to engage at all levels of customers organization from executive level to working teams.

Proven ability to grow revenue and market share by using a strategic, disciplined, and focused approach.

Adept in engaging at various levels of seniority and roles within TU and the customer
