Fraud Manager

**ROLE PURPOSE**

Decrease in the level of default of the retail loan portfolio, reducing the level of economic risks for the Company.

Monitoring of customer data of their availability for access both from within the company and from the outside. Compliance with GDPR requirements.

Regular analysis of information about customer behavior to identify fraudulent schemes, their description and systematization. Development of measures to prevent both identified fraud schemes and possible new schemes that the Company has not yet encountered.

Organizing and conducting investigations of revealed facts of violations of the requirements of legislation and regulations of the Company, interaction with the Police, Courts and other organizations involved in the investigation of fraudulent actions of third parties in relation to the Company.

Analysis and development of proposals for optimization of existing software products in terms of preventing fraudulent activities and causing financial and reputational damage to the Company.

Analysis of the information received with further use to minimize fraudulent risks and improve the performance of business processes.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitor real time queues and identify high risk transactions within the business portfolio.
- Observe customer transactions to identify fraudulent activity such as account take over, friendly fraud, theft, and similar other risks.
- Identify fraudulent transactions and cancel them from further processing.
- Resolve queued transactions within the service level agreements to reduce potential revenue losses.
- Interact with banks and customers to validate information and to confirm or cancel authorizations.
- Resolve customer issues within the scope of existing service level agreements.
- Monitor constantly customer and transactional records to identify unauthorized transactions and fraudulent accounts.
- Maintain fraud analysis models to improve efficiency and effectiveness of company systems.
- Ensure confidentiality of all information collected during investigation.
- Determine existing fraud trends by analyzing accounts and transaction patterns.
- Identify system improvements to prevent fraudulent activities.
- Recommend anti-fraud processes for changing transaction patterns and trends.
- Recommend new software tools used for fraud detection, prevention and reporting activities.
- Generate suspicious activity reports and risk management reports for Managers.
- Regular monitoring and analysis of loan portfolio in order to discover potential fraud cases, their processing and analyzing, discovering fraud schemes.
- Developing of antifraud models
- Adjustment and testing of antifraud system, implementing it into the existing risk-model.

Validation and regular support of antifraud system taking into account new fraud schemes

**Knowledge and skills**:
High Knowledge of SQL.

Knowledge of the main fraud schemes common for the Spanish market

Proficiency in data analysis to detect patterns indicative of fraud.

Used to working in a high paced environment.

Strong leadership and analytical skill.

Decision making based on statistics.

Used to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with and influence people at all levels of the organization.

**Education**:
5+ years of experience in fraud investigation or similar field

Higher education in mathematics/statistics/IT/economics

Spanish native and English at least upper-intermediate

**Experience Target**:
Valued experience on cyber-crime, white collar crime, financial institution fraud, and major corporate fraud is preferred, and/or comparable corporate fraud experience in the financial industry.

Experience of working with external antifraud services.

Decision making based on statistics.

Experience of processes building from scratch is a plus.
