**Job Purpose**

Senior Flight Operations Engineer will become the maximum expert on the new aircraft type in all performance, weight&balance, procedures and aircraft manuals. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all operations departments have the right inputs for them to build their operating processes and manuals.

**Main Responsibilities - Tasks**
- **Quickly absorption of new principles.** Learn & understand all the theoretical principles, bases & performance of a completely new aircraft type to identify the differences with the current reference aircraft.
- Collaborating constantly with the new manufacturer specialists and engineers to gather and analyse the operational information (related on performance, weight & balance, procedures & aircraft manuals)
- **Become the maximum expert in the company.** Become the reference in the new aircraft type technical topics (performance, weight&balance, procedures, aircraft manuals) to support the rest of departments (technical pilots, training, safety, compliance, AESA, ) in the new Operational procedures design and to assist on the safety high impact decisions & clarifications.
- **Agile and effective identification of engineering changes to be made.** Determination of the technical and complex changes and redesign to be made in the more than 100 ops procedures affecting engineering, ground ops, dispatch and flight.
- Evaluating safety, compliance and cost structures of proposed changes
- **Draw an accurate engineering roadmap.** After identifying all changes and redesign to be made, coordinate all internal analysis & transversal milestones and schedule all workstreams within the phase assigned to Flight OPS in the plan. The schedule surgically must obey to the stakeholders time requirements.
- Preparing change management strategies to reduce unforeseen events and delays, increase flexibility and maximize efficiency.
- **Lead, organise and manage the specialisation workteam.** Manage the specialisation work team (Performance, Weight&Balance, Procedures, Aircraft Manuals) to adhere to the compliance and business requirements in relation to timeline and flexibility.
- Consulting with staff members and identifying and managing anticipated resistance.
- **Customise all standards based on needs and Vueling complexities.** Deep analysis, calculations and results oversight. Decision-making to establish procedures that guarantee a trade-off between flexibility and costs.
- Using mathematics, scientific, and engineering principles to design, repair, and improve current flight procedures, safety regulations and manufacturing processes.
- Writing design proposals, reports, manuals and other technical documents
- **Engineering Problem-solving.** Correct any unforeseen technical event in the flight procedure constanly checking with new manufacturer, suppliers and external organisations affected. Reiteration of results with feedbacks obtained
- Tracking implementation progress and reporting back to management
- Present and defend analysis results, processes aligned and decisions made to Flight Ops, Training, Compliance and Safety Pilotos as well as AESA inspectors that must approve the project.
- Creating communication and training plans to enable smooth implementation of the strategy
- **Engineering & Processes Change management.** Be the “guru” to extend the new changes to be applied for all ops personnel and instructors. Familiarise the rest of the operational staff to detonate the rest of linked processes redesign and implementation.
- Responsible for monitoring and supervising changes to business processes and systems, technology, job roles and structures within the organization and play a crucial role in ensuring that staff members embrace the change.
- Coaching affected operational staff to improve implementation communication.

**Education**
- Aeronautical Engineering Degree (required)
- Any Boeing / Airbus flight operations related training (desired)

**Experience**
- More than 3 years of experience in an airline ops engineering department
- Aircraft performance (required)
