Global Head of Risk and Compliance Santander Insurance Country: Spain **WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING** **Wealth Management and Insurance is looking for a **Global Head of Risk and Compliance **, based in our Boadilla office.** **WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THIS OPPORTUNITY** **The Wealth Management & Insurance division **covers three businesses in all Santander Group countries: Insurance, Asset Management and Private Banking. We embrace a strong risk culture and all of our professionals at all levels are expected to take a proactive and responsible approach toward risk management. **WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING** Overall responsibility of the Risk and Compliance functions within a new Insurance Holding with operating companies acting across Santander Group. Will be leading the role as an independent function, reporting hierarchically to the company CEO and functionally to the WM&I CRO, with direct access to the BoD. The CCO independent function will report hierarchically to this position and functionally to the WM&I CCO. Formally covering the "Solvency II Key Risk Function" and also helping and coordinating the "Solvency II Key Compliance Function". We need someone like you to help us in different fronts: - Definition of the Risk Strategy in line with the company's risk appetite Supervise the implementation of the Group's Risk (and Compliance) management standards. - Proactively identify risks and deviations and discuss them with all stakeholders Control of subsidiaries, ensuring the identification and evaluation of the risks that may arise within the scope of the Insurance Group and also related to the insurance product comercialization. - Supervision of Solvency II reporting: ORSA, SFCR, FST, QRTs. - Validation of the calculations of SCR and MCR capital at consolidated group level Support to the Group's reporting process. - Report and advise, when necessary, to correspondent bodies (BoA, Risk committee) EXPERIENCE - Risk responsibility in insurance company / consulting firm +10 years of experience in similar roles (CRO function). EDUCATION - Economic / Business administration (Insurance specialty as a preference) - Engeneering - Maths SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE - Solvency II Solvency II capital management - Risk Management - Compliance Insurance and Banking regulation OTHER INFORMATION
