**Minimum qualifications**:

- Experience managing technical projects within the security and compliance domains in Financial Services, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Telecommunications, Public Sector, or Energy, including experience leading strategy or modernization projects.
- Experience in public or private cloud.
- Experience with audit, compliance, risk, and security methodologies and best practices.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Understanding of microservices, kubernetes, containers, modern app development, and modern cloud operations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and develop talent and ideas to achieve a broader organizational goal.
- Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to deliver a polished and professional business and technical pitch to the C-Suite and Board levels.
- Ability to speak and write English and Spanish fluently.

As Director, Office of the CISO, Google Cloud, you will establish relationships with global companies, providing independent advice and recommendations to the technical C-suite, CISO, Risk and Compliance officers, while representing the security and compliance advocate of Google Cloud in regulated industries. You will work to maintain and expand Google’s reputation as a secure place that everyone can trust for sensitive data. Your days may include private hosting whiteboarding sessions, giving public talks on emerging security trends and best practices, communicating with internal engineering teams on the key use cases for a given launch, or leading a cross-Google technical working team through a critical engagement with a global brand CISO and their CRO (Chief Risk Officer) and CCO (Chief Compliance Officer) organizations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Partner with global companies as a trusted Google security and compliance advisor, identify cloud related security and compliance design/development/deployment friction points from the customers’ perspective and rally teams to work through solutions.
- Work with customers and partners to define joint initiatives and co-create their cloud security and compliance transformation journey, collaborate across functional and areas to bring the best of Google to the customer.
- Tell the Google security and compliance innovation story and help translate it into actionable steps global companies can take towards adoption.
- Advocate for Google Cloud security and compliance, and act as a mentor and leader to the wider Google Cloud security and compliance professionals.
- Travel about 30% of the time to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
