Accounting Manager

**Position**:
Accounting Manager

To work within the Accounting team to deliver the necessary accounting and reporting requirements expected within a large complex organisation. The role will be involved in General Ledger, controlling and reporting, compliance, tax, statutory and multiple general accounting and reporting activities, along with a range of other financial reconciliation and control tasks as required within the team. The role will also involve management of a team of accounting staff.

**Key Tasks / responsibilities**:
All tasks to be carried out in a Total Quality manner, consistent with the Company culture.

The job role would include as a guide the following items
- Management of Accounting Staff working across multiple countries and companies
- Control and manage the accuracy of the General Ledger for the required companies.
- Complete all relevant month end financial close procedures including necessary accruals and prepayments activities, multiple reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare and be responsible for all necessary internal reporting required within Europe and to the US head office.
- Manage Facilities and restructuring accounting and control.
- Carry out relevant Sarbanes Oxley controls.
- Hedging activities and Revaluation.
- Headcount reporting, control and forecasting support.
- Statutory accounting and corporation tax requirements for the required companies
- Statutory/Corporate reconciliations and European consolidation activities.
- Control and prepare VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List Reporting, submission of Vat Returns and related compliance.
- Manage audit and compliance activities across the team.
- Management of general insurance policies.
- Complete all necessary National Statistics and related reporting
- Manage the fixed asset register and all relevant accounting, liaising with the accounts payable clerks and other business areas where required.
- Support other accountants within the wider team on a variety of tasks in order to meet the total needs of the finance department.
- Drive development of new/efficient processes/procedures within the accounting team.
- Manage Hiring activities and staff transitions within the team
- Own and deliver all company changes to policy, processes and projects for the team and related countries.
- Own and deliver all externally driven changes, such as changes in regulation and any other changes.
- Collaborate effectively with different parts of the business as required, in order to deliver the above.
- Provide support and assistance to the Senior Finance Manager on other projects and ad-hoc tasks.

- Navision knowledge/experience an advantage (plus Microsoft AX / Oracle)

**Key Interfaces**
- Interface with other finance departments, other Arrow companies, Europe and Corporate headquarters and all necessary external parties such as Auditors and Tax Advisors.

**Experience**
- Qualified Accountant with UK/International/ Spanish/Portuguese Gaap Knowledge.
- Accounting Experience over a number of years.
- Strong Excel, Finance system and data manipulation skills
- Recognised full accountancy qualification
