Technology Services Category Lead

**_Role Overview:_**

Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement this role will have the responsibility to manage third-party supplier spend of c.$125m per annum across c. 300 suppliers. Key activities include deep business partnering to understand key priorities and needs and the engagement and management of our suppliers through designing and delivering category, sourcing, and supplier relationship management strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join McAfee in an influential role as the Technology Services (IT) Category lead within the Global Procurement Services (GPS). This role will be accountable for the global Category Management and Strategic Sourcing activities across Technology Services (IT).

This position will lead the Technology Services category team whilst being able to leverage wider skills and capabilities within Global Procurement Services (GPS).

**_ About the Role:_**
- Lead a team of Strategic Sourcing, Category Managers, and Buyers to support end-to-end global procurement activities across Technology Services.
- Partner and develop deep relationships with Technology teams across the business to help deliver their technology and business strategies and priorities.
- A leader within the Procurement organization that champions change and the McAfee culture.
- Work with our Strategic vendors to further develop relationships.
- Support and develop team members.
- Work without supervision and that is adaptable to changes in the work environment including the reassessment of category and business priorities.
- Partner across the business to jointly develop cost reduction strategies. Drive the analysis and reporting on spend to identify, build sponsorship for, and pursue new savings opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely management of information to enable organization assessment of Category performance.
- develop a detailed knowledge of existing Technology Services cost models whilst also having the ability to develop innovative commercial models that align with the needs of the business.
- Challenge current practice, seek alternative options, and challenge convention.

**_ About You:_**
- 10 years of professional experience in a strategic sourcing role, with extensive experience in IT category management.
- Have experience in leading and developing IT Category teams and designing and leading complex sourcing strategies.
- Excellent and proven communication and influencing skills to senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong data analytical abilities to drive actionable insights and develop compelling messages.
- Proven ability for effective and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Track record of successful people management.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to mark up contracts to agreed templates and fallback positions.
- Passion for working in a fast-paced and innovative business environment.
- Strong experience with Multi-cloud environments (AWS / GCP).
- Knowledge of US/EU regulations impacting procurement and contracting, including data privacy laws.
- Experience in eSourcing and eAuctions techniques utilizing Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, or other similar procurement systems.
- Procurement/Supply Chain certification preferred (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CIPS, SPSM, or CSCP).
- A technical degree or equivalent is preferred.
