Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer - SAP- Team:

To accelerate this Journey, we will implement a Central Finance first without losing focus on our current SAP landscape.- We are looking for a Platform Engineer to support both acceleration and existing landscape maintenance. You will participate in the respective work streams together with technical and business counterparts to ensure the best solutions are always implemented. As part of an SAP Platform team, you will help to have state of the art SAP landscape, setting up technical artifacts for other teams to deliver content in a secure, performant, and controlled way. You will also be working side by side with our external vendors to ensure they stick to our standards and best practices.- Purpose:
Key responsibilities:
- You will join a team of talented and passionate engineers that will help adidas deliver the best products for our Digital Consumers.
- Data integration across different domains
- DevOps across different Consumer Engagement Areas
- QA excellence, specifically automatic testing (performance, functional, smoke,)
- Continuous integration, automated testing, and automatic deployment to ensure frequent and reliable releases with minimum downtime
- You will help establish and overlook guardrails for backend capabilities and processes for your area and will ensure the highest quality in the deliverables, defining the coding and design guidelines to follow and ensuring they are applied in your domain.
- What we are looking for:
- College or university degree with focus on IT or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Min. 5 years of IT experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience with SAP technologies, large scale and global projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent English skills (verbal and written).
- Experienced on working with global and multicultural teams
- Ideally experience on Agile software development practices (Scrum, Kanban), DevOps culture and CI/CD concepts
- Proficient in Performance Tuning, HANA programming (AMDP, CDS, Procedures)
- Strong background in ABAP object-oriented programming and integration technologies (AIF, SLT, IDOC, API)
- Ability to work under pressure with committed deadlines.
