While all Animation studios look to hire people who are creative and hard-working, Skydance Animation is specifically looking for pioneers who seek to push the limits of what the world’s most collaborative art form can achieve, and to give those pioneers the space and the resources to build a new studio that’s doing something different.A **Character Surfacing Junior Artist **creates high detailed texture maps and materials for movie characters and props, as well as the final aspect of the movie characters, working in coordination with Production Designer and Art department to deliver a visually impressive look.
**Responsibilities**:
- Creates textures utilizing photography and pre-existing textures.
- Paints stylized textures from concepts following the look of the show.
- Creates procedural textures from Substance designer.
- Ability to create, adapt, and iterate, within a variety of artistic styles.
- Works with the Production team, Art Director and Visual Effects Supervisor to create the desired look for characters that may reflect any of a wide variety of styles.
- Assists other team members, when necessary.
- Follows the Supervisor’s and Lead´s guidance.
**Requirements**:
- 0-2 years of professional experience in VFX or animation industries.
- Artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
- Working knowledge of Substance, Mari and Maya.
- High English level desirable.
- Spanish desirable.
