**Business Intelligence Analyst**:
Calling all Tableau Report Creators American Express Meetings & Events is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who has a passion for analyzing data and creating visualizations in Tableau. You will have the opportunity to support our team as we redesign our service offering. In addition to working in Tableau, you will have the opportunity to learn a new reporting platform and support the implementation to ensure that it meets our needs long-term. This is a remote position and a great opportunity to join a wonderful team.

The overall objective of this position is to provide a high-level of customer service and business intelligence and insights reporting for one or more of our strategic global clients. This includes interaction with various levels of client and internal Meetings & Events management and performing tasks aimed at the development, retention, and expansion of the global client relationship.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborates with end-users in the design of custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, metrics, and reports and executes the development.
- Translates business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications
- Documents all report related activities including user requests, report specification, development, modification, testing, and on-going production support.
- Follows the entire development life cycle including coding, unit testing, bug fixes, and maintenance (inclusive of regression testing for platform releases)
- Researches and conducts data analysis as well as makes recommendations in support of resolution of issues
- Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
- Adept at blending, normalizing, and analyzing multiple and extensive data sets to yield reportable and meaningful data
- Proven ability to synthesize information and identify key trends, insights, and actionable recommendations to clients that can support business decision needs

**Key Qualifications**:

- Minimum two years of hands-on experience working with enterprise data visualization tools (i.e., Birst, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SAP BI, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree with technology focus or equivalent work experience
- Advanced to expert knowledge on Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools; Access and Excel are required
- Understanding of relational databases and demonstrated proficiency in efficient query writing
- Ability to work mostly unsupervised. Proven communication and collaboration skills; willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities.
- Experience troubleshooting and writing VBA code
- Proficient in database design; specifically Microsoft Access tables, queries, reports, macros, and forms
- Client facing experience a plus
- Knowledge of the meetings and events industry preferred, willingness to learn required
- Customer and service-oriented mindset
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to handle numerous responsibilities with little direction
- Comfortable with an environment where priorities change frequently
- Ability to work in a fast-moving company and industry
