Offshore Npi Senior Engineering Manager

**Job Description Summary**: In the Offshore NPI B3 Mechanical Design team, the focus is on providing solutions to components within Machine Head team, including rear frame, mechanical internals and auxiliaries. In this position, the Senior Engineering Manager will provide overall leadership and administrative management for assigned personnel. Foster a multi-functional team environment. Provide drafting or engineering support to all assigned customers, employing the latest technology while minimizing costs. Satisfy the needs of Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering processes to achieve maximum benefits. Establish and implement cost estimates, goals, plans, and policies. Direct scheduling and design plans to achieve overall business needs. Develop and maintain a productive work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional efforts to achieve and maintain Engineering excellence.

**Major Duties**:

- Lead business initiatives regarding design, test and manufacturing technology, quality, and productivity. Identify and promote the development of improved processes related to design, analysis, manufacturing, quality, and productivity.
- Establish and monitor programs, plans and budgets to assure business needs are covered as well as customer satisfaction.
- Ensure employees receive the training and guidance needed to increase their responsibilities and technical contributions.
- Establish and communicate the work-group goals that meet the needs of the business.
- Provide leadership and administrative management and define roles and responsibilities of assigned personnel. Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning. Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching, and counseling.
- Represent and promote department compliance activities. Serve as a focal point for all compliance issues within the department.
- Maintain ample awareness of technical efforts within the work group in order to assure technical excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources and consistency of methods across programs.
- Assure communication of technical and business information between organizations and within the work group. Communicate technical, organizational, resource, and personnel issues to higher management.
- Ensure procedures are established and adhered to, maintaining high-quality Engineering and Drafting that conform to Engineering Standards, Design Practices, and applicable Operating Procedures.
- Implement Engineering and Drafting Standards and specifications consistent with GE Vernova Offshore needs, policies, and practices.
- Provide an effective and efficient service for all assigned organizations.

**Minimum Job Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years solid contributions in related disciplines: structural, rear frame, mechanical internals, mechanical auxiliaries, product definition.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written, oral, and comprehension abilities in English
- Demonstrated solid technical skills in a related field of the team
- Proven ability to manage multiple programs with several stakeholders and counterparts
- Responsible for the follow-up and completion of programs
- Experience coordinating relevant projects with greater autonomy/ownership
- Demonstrated Project Management skills or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close, and manage programs, projects, orders, activities, or systems.
- Highly independent management of GE Vernova Offshore processes

**Desired**:

- Experienced in management of budgets, HC, and program approval
- Demonstrated ability to articulate a strategy, set the vision and execute plans
- Proven experience aligned to Mechanical Design processes and deliverables for rear frame, mechanical internals and/or mechanical auxiliaries
- Experience managing high levels of conflict and labor issues
- Proven ability to balance workload
