Senior Project Engineer for AC and HVDC Subsea Cable Technology (all genders)Apply for this role at Fichtner , a global engineering consultancy with over 2,300 employees. Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Engineering and Consulting Industries: Engineering Services, Energy Technology, Electric Power Transmission, Control, and Distribution Support subsea cable projects (AC and HVDC) with cable engineering, design, technology and manufacturing know‑how Develop HV cable specifications for inner array or export cable systems Review cable design and manufacturing documents Prepare and attend supplier and factory audits as well as cable type tests, and support the cable manufacturing supervision Backoffice engineering for NCR and punch items from the cable manufacturing process Manage the interface to the cable installation Contribute to the overall optimization of inner array grid layouts and export cable connections for offshore wind farms Report to package and/or project managers and liaise with colleagues from other work Master, Bachelor or equivalent in electrical or industrial engineering Several years of relevant subsea cable engineering experience Familiar with developing or working with EPC tender, design and manufacturing documents Experience in offshore wind and/or interconnector projects Fluency in English, both written and oral Willingness to undertake regular trips to the project countries Valid work permit for Spain A growing team in a start‑up environment backed up by a large global operating company Exciting international projects in the energy industry With over 2,300 employees, Fichtner is Germany’s leading independent planning and consultancy enterprise.
