**About the Role**:
Our Engineering Department within RWE Offshore Wind is looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager (AEM) with a solid technical background to drive our floating offshore development & future construction activities in the Iberian market. The AEM responsibility is to support the Engineering Manager (EM) for the whole windfarm technical scope in development and construction phases.

**Your Future Plans**:
You will be supporting the Engineering Manager in all or part of these tasks:

- Optimization and integration of the project design with due regard to the project commercial drivers, schedule and budget; Deputising the EM for technical sign-off of critical project design and concepts
- You will support collation of relevant cost inputs for technical elements of the project (e.g. DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX), assess and advise on possible design options, and drive innovation to inform the bid strategy
- Promote a consistent and inherently safe design. Ensure design integrity, compliance and technical risk management in line with applicable regulations
- Input to negotiation strategy with suppliers, creation of necessary FEED, RfI, and pre-bid tender documents, approval of engineering documents

**Your Profile**:

- Engineering (civil/ mechanical/ electrical) or other technical university degree and solid years of global relevant experience in large infrastructure projects
- Ability to work in, manage and to motivate cross-cultural and remote teams, collaborating with an inclusive mindset
- Sound understanding of the offshore wind market dynamics and the specific Iberian market challenges, displaying commercial awareness
- Fluent in spoken and written English; Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese (spoken and written) is required for this role
