We are looking for a Senior Development Engineer.

Our client is a multinational engineering company that develops and manufactures equipment/machines for laboratories and various other industrial sectors.

In this role you will be working closely with the engineers at the company, at third parties designing and manufacturing partners and at the final equipment customer. As an experienced development engineer you are familiar with a structured design process including the setting up of first prototype solutions, structured testing and data analysis for the confirmation of functional equipment specifications. You possess strong analytical skills combined with a structured, self-organized experimental approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Actively participate in the development of equipment and continuous improvement:

- Design and build of equipment to specification.
- Design tests to confirm achievement of specification.
- Analyze data and draw conclusions.
- Take a holistic view of the equipment and allocate error budgets and performance specifications to each platform submodule and component.
- Take into consideration aspects of manufacturability and serviceability.
- Proactively detect and analyze issues or areas for improvement of the existing portfolio and propose solutions.
- Oversee the development and implementation of any new system development through all steps of the process.
- Provide guidance for all members of the engineering team when it comes to designing, implementing, and updating new pieces of equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and product performance.
- Review and sign-off technical documentation.
- Ensure that all standard procedures are followed and properly documented.
- Be the key contact with customers in technical matters.

**Requisitos**
- You are Master in at least one of the following engineering disciplines: mechanical, process, electrical, electronics, automation or control systems.
- You have a deep technical background in the capital equipment business. Experience on machinery design, manufacturing and assembly. You have been involved in all the steps of capital equipment lifecycle, from concept to prototype and introduction to volume manufacturing. Experience of at least 10 years in this business is required.
- You have a multidisciplinary profile: you are knowledgeable about all disciplines involved in the operation of our equipment, including physics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, programming and can understand how they are integrated to meet process and product specifications. You must, at least, be familiar with CAD software and have basic programming skills.
- Proficient in English: you are able to communicate fluently and to write technical documentation in English language.
- You possess excellent analytical skills.
- You are structured and self-organized.
- You have experience and ability to work projects within restricted timeline and budget.
- You have good interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy working in a cooperative environment.
- Some travel may be required to interface with key suppliers and customers (5- 10% of the time).
