Senior Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities:

- Maxlinear is looking for a Senior Field Application Engineer to join the Sales Team. Your responsibilities will be:

- Being the first technical contact for MaxLinear customers in Europe: understand customers needs and technical support, provide technical documentations and suggest Maxlinear products or system solutions, match customer’s Road Map with MaxLnear portfolio
- Forge strong, long term technical relationships with customer engineers
- Assist customer in products design cycle and roll-out. H/W lay-out, s/w development including support for set of pre-productions tests: like power, performance, stability, sanity runs
- Present Maxlinear products and technologies to a technical customer audience, in a manner that positions the technical and commercial strengths of our solutions
- Devise and deliver training for Rep and Distribution partners
- Assist in s/w integration by process QA tests, read issues and prioritize tickets in internal tools,
- Read customer block diagrams, propose MaxLinear Products.

Qualifications:

- Min 10 years of experience as the FAE engineer, Test - QA Engineer at Semiconductor Company, CE Company or at Telco / MSO operator
- MSC or Bachelor in Electronics, Telecommunication or S/W design
- Understanding of ITU-T, DVB-S,C,T, IP-TV, DOCSIS, MOCA, LPW short communications technologies in practice
- Ability to produce, analyze and debug schematic diagrams to component level. Competent with layout techniques and constraints for high speed and power switching circuits. Familiar with industry standard CAD/CAE tools - eg Mentor, Altium.
- Understanding of schematic design and layout is preferred including standard analog products understanding like powers, LDOs, switches and interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes and soldering iron) is preferred
- Basic understanding of software development (C or similar)
- Team work and collaboration skills
- Very good written and oral communications skills in English, second language is additional asset: Spanish or German preferred
