**Lead Legal Counsel EMEA
The position can be based out of Spain, UK, Ireland and work remotely.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Be primary Legal counsel in a country cluster
- Be a proactive Business partner and part of the Leadership team in your country cluster
- Advise EMEA business partners on marketing law compliance, strategic initiatives, commercial transactions and contracts, business development, and reimbursement and market access
- Provide ongoing legal advice on laws, regulations and guidelines related to marketing, privacy, clinical research, medical affairs, business development, and commercialization of products and services sold, marketed or distributed in EMEA markets
- Provide counsel to business operations regarding the negotiation of commercial and marketing agreements
- Advise on continuing process improvements and implementation of Dexcom’s compliance program initiatives and work closely with Dexcom’s compliance and regulatory teams to implement new regulatory frameworks and investigate and address compliance risks
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies when requested and assist in compliance reviews, audits, and investigations
- Participate in Legal Department management, including operations, budgets, and policies
- Effectively manage outside vendors and coordinate efforts across multiple internal teams
- Provide guidance to internal teams on industry-best legal standards for marketing, intellectual property, licensing, etc.
- Frequent communication and collaboration with supervisor and HQ Legal colleagues
- Understanding, support, and enforcement of Legal guidelines and procedures
- Be organized, productive and consistent in meeting fast-paced activity and high quality standards

**Required Qualifications**:

- Law degree
- At least 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in law firm and/or in-house in international context
- Deep knowledge of Medical Device Regulation, healthcare compliance and advertising laws across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA, competition law a plus
- Ability to support the Business with proactive and practical advice in navigating through ambiguous situations
- Ability to manage outside counsel relationships
- Experience drafting and negotiating agreements
- Ability to effectively manage a high volume of a wide range of projects
- Excellent decision-making and communications skills, both written and oral
- Strong English writing, editing, negotiation, prioritization, and presentation skills are a must. Spanish, and / or French language skills preferred
- Strategic thinker that can work both independently and collaborative as a team player
- Experience in the legal review of contracts within a contract lifecycle management platform, and willingness to be an active partner with Legal Operations to optimize contracting processes
- Ability to perform remote work professionally, confidentially, efficiently, and independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to perform work at Dexcom’s office location as needed

**Travel Required**:

- Up to 25%
